With more than 20+ years of experience leading teams at companies including VMware, IBM and BNP Paribas, Ms. Brett joined Intel to drive better strategy attainment through the practice of OKRs. During her time at VMware Ms. Brett held several senior leadership roles in R&D where she was responsible for a variety of strategic initiatives, strategic planning and business operations. Relishing the challenges of managing high-caliber individuals, Mary is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion; serving on one of VMware’s organizational DEI advisory committees.

Director, Ethics & Compliance Culture and Experience, VMware

As a Results Management Leader at VMware, Emilie recently completed a four-month leadership rotation in the Office of the CEO where she implemented enhancements to mature VMware’s annual OKR rollout. In her day job as Director of Ethics & Compliance Culture and Experience, Emilie serves as Chief of Staff to VMware’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer – where she leads compliance transformation and creates innovative compliance training that employees actually enjoy. She holds a Bachelors in Accounting from Santa Clara University, is fluent in Spanish, and is a recovering CPA.
